We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Civil Engineer to join our Bowling Green, KY; Nashville, TN; or Knoxville, TN office. This is an excellent opportunity to join and grow EnSafe, getting involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients across the globe.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:
- Support and lead engineering design efforts for site civil, stormwater drainage, industrial wastewater, and utility infrastructure projects.
- Serve as a technical lead on a variety of projects, including civil site design, solid waste management facilities, landfill design, impoundments, and utility infrastructure improvements.
- Develop engineering designs and deliverables to support regulatory permitting, site development, technical specifications, and bid documents.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate challenges and develop practical engineering solutions.
- Participate in and coordinate design and construction meetings with clients, contractors, and subcontractors, including pre-bid meetings.
- Plan, schedule, and execute detailed phases of engineering and design work to meet project objectives and timelines.
- Support business development activities through proposal preparation, marketing initiatives, project management, and ongoing client engagement as appropriate.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the applicable state, or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity within a reasonable timeframe.
- 10+ years of civil engineering design experience.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Experience delivering civil engineering design projects for municipal and industrial clients.
- Experience preparing engineering plans, specifications, technical reports, permitting documentation, and bid packages.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting processes and coordination with regulatory agencies.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Ability to review and seal engineering plans and technical documents, as required.
- Willingness to travel regionally, with occasional national travel for client and project meetings.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience working within an engineering consulting firm.
- Experience with site development, stormwater management, industrial wastewater, landfill design, or solid waste management projects.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and technical staff.
- Experience supporting proposals, client development, and business development activities.
