The Analyst will partner with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to develop financial models, evaluate growth opportunities, monitor client financial performance, and translate financial and operational data into meaningful insights. This role will support commercial decisions related to new business opportunities, client scope expansions, renewals, and other contract changes.

The ideal candidate will develop a deep understanding of Ensemble’s business, operating model, and client economics and will be comfortable working across multiple data sources and systems, including Workday, Adaptive Planning, and Power BI. This individual will also leverage AI, automation, and scalable analytical tools to simplify processes and improve the speed and quality of financial analysis.

This role is remote and will report to the Manager, Pricing & Commercial Finance.

Essential Job Functions:

New Client Pricing

  • Perform financial due diligence for new client opportunities, analyzing historical financials, payroll, accounts payable, staffing, vendor costs, and other key inputs to identify risks, opportunities, and service gaps for large health systems
  • Develop financial models for new client opportunities, translating due diligence findings and operating assumptions into expected revenue, cost, and profitability
  • Support the pricing proposal and internal approval process, preparing analyses and materials that clearly communicate proposed economics, assumptions, and risks to leadership
  • Analyze early post-go-live financial performance against pricing and implementation assumptions to identify variances and inform future pricing decisions

Expansions & Renewals

  • Develop financial analyses and pricing proposals for client expansions, renewals, and contract changes, evaluating the financial impact of scope changes and trade-offs across cost, pricing, contract terms, and expected profitability
  • Track upcoming renewals and contractual milestones to support timely financial analysis and pricing decisions
  • Support the incorporation of approved contract changes into financial forecasts and client profitability expectations in partnership with Operations, Accounting, and other stakeholders

Client Financial Performance & Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain client financial forecasts and profitability analyses, incorporating key financial and operational drivers to maintain an accurate outlook on client performance
  • Monitor client performance against pricing and forecast assumptions, identifying deviations in staffing plans, vendor roadmaps, and other key drivers of profitability
  • Partner with Operations and Partnership Success (client relationship leaders) to analyze risks and opportunities, develop actionable recommendations, and monitor progress against identified actions
  • Develop and maintain reporting and analytical tools that provide visibility into client financial performance, outlook, and key risks and opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, data analytics, or a related field required, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in consulting, finance, FP&A, pricing, financial due diligence, or a related analytical role
  • Healthcare finance or health system experience preferred
  • Pricing and/or financial due diligence experience preferred, particularly with complex client or service-based businesses
  • Strong financial modeling, quantitative, and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze revenue, cost, profitability, and key financial trade-offs
  • Ability to work with incomplete or complex financial and operational data, identify gaps and inconsistencies, develop reasonable assumptions, and draw well-supported conclusions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify risks and opportunities and translate analysis into meaningful insights
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Operations and client-facing teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present financial analysis and conclusions
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar analytics experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
  • Curiosity and comfort leveraging AI and automation to simplify processes and improve financial analysis and decision-making
  • This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
