A Summer That Makes an Impact At Ensign Drilling, interns are more than observers—they are valued members of the team. You’ll join a supportive culture where your perspective matters, your ideas are welcomed, and your contributions help shape the future of drilling operations. What You’ll Do

Gain experience across multiple phases of oil well drilling while working a semi-rotational schedule. Prioritize safety by following all rig protocols and procedures. Perform essential rig duties, including typical Floorhand tasks. Collaborate with the Performance Drilling Group to help improve drilling processes. Assist the Maintenance Group with troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing drilling systems. Work with the Drilling Engineering team to develop technical solutions to issues encountered on the rig.

Experience That Helps You Stand Out

Experience performing hands-on technical tasks or work that follows established procedures. Comfort working long shifts outdoors in physically demanding, labor-intensive conditions. Prior oil industry experience is an asset.

Be at least 18 years old. Have completed sophomore year before the 2027 internship begins.
