Als Senior Algorithmic Trader bouw je bij Entrado kwantitatieve handelsstrategieën van onderzoek tot productie, voor de Europese energiemarkten, met een sterke basis in Python, SQL en statistische validatie.

We zoeken een ervaren en gedreven profiel dat kwantitatieve handelsstrategieën niet alleen bedenkt, maar ze ook end-to-end bouwt, bewijst en in productie brengt. Als Senior Algorithmic Trader combineer je diepgaande marktkennis, statistiek en engineering om onze algoritmische handel op de Europese energiemarkten te ontwerpen en verder te laten groeien.

Door jouw ervaring weet je dat een mooie backtest nog geen alpha is. Je bouwt strategieën die overeind blijven onder strenge validatie, realistische uitvoeringskosten en echte marktomstandigheden, en je tilt het hele team mee naar dat niveau.

Jouw rol

Als Senior Algorithmic Trader draag je de verantwoordelijkheid voor de volledige levenscyclus van onze algoritmische strategieën, van day-ahead en intraday tot onbalans- en balanceringsmarkten, in meerdere Europese landen. Je ontwikkelt, valideert en beheert kwantitatieve handelsstrategieën, met bijzondere aandacht voor marktspecifieke onbalans- en settlementmechanismen.

Je doet toegepast onderzoek naar marktmicrostructuur, prijsvorming, liquiditeit en cross-border dynamieken, en vertaalt die inzichten naar verhandelbare signalen en voorspellingsmodellen, van prijs- en onbalansvoorspelling tot forecasting van hernieuwbare productie op basis van machine learning en statistiek. Elk model toets je aan een streng validatiekader, zowel nieuw als bestaand.

Daarnaast bouw en beheer je de productiewaardige infrastructuur eromheen: continu draaiende Python-services, SQL-datapijplijnen op omvangrijke marktdatasets en realtime monitoring, binnen een moderne, AI-driven onderzoeksomgeving. Je bewaakt het risicokader (positielimieten, drawdowncontrole, regimeafhankelijkheid) en rapporteert transparant over prestaties en incidenten, terwijl je collega's ondersteunt en mee de onderzoeks- en kwaliteitsstandaarden van de tradingdesk bepaalt.

  • Masterdiploma in een kwantitatieve richting (economie, ingenieurswetenschappen, wiskunde, fysica of gelijkwaardig) of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
  • Minimaal vijf jaar ervaring in kwantitatieve of algoritmische trading, bij voorkeur op de korte-termijn elektriciteitsmarkten.
  • Grondige kennis van de Europese marktarchitectuur: day-ahead en intradayhandel, onbalanssystemen; kennis van balancering en reserves is een grote plus.
  • Doorgedreven beheersing van Python en SQL, met aantoonbare ervaring in het bouwen en beheren van productiesystemen op grote datasets.
  • Sterke statistische basis en een kritische onderzoekshouding: je herkent overfitting en datalekkage en verkiest een correct negatief resultaat boven een misleidend positief.
  • Zelfstandig, nauwkeurig en resultaatgericht, met de maturiteit om beslissingen te onderbouwen en kennis over te dragen.
