The posting

Our Company

EOS IT Solutions is a global technology and logistics company providing collaboration, business IT and technology services to organisations around the world.

We work closely with our clients to deliver reliable, user-focused solutions and high-quality technical support. Our teams value professional service, practical problem-solving and clear communication, helping people use workplace technology confidently and effectively.

About the Role

EOS IT Solutions is seeking an AV Events Technician on a rolling three-month contract to provide onsite meeting and event support for a leading global entertainment company in Amsterdam.

The role focuses on meeting kick-offs, room setups, and routine live and hybrid events. You will help presenters and attendees use event technology confidently and ensure that meeting spaces and equipment are ready for use.

You will work under the close supervision of the client’s event lead or a senior technician, following established procedures and escalating issues when additional support is required. You will take responsibility for assigned routine meetings and events within the agreed scope and assist as an operator on more complex productions.

The schedule will vary according to event requirements and may include early starts and late finishes.

Key Responsibilities

Meeting Kick-offs and Event Preparation

  • Prepare spaces for meetings, internal presentations and routine events.
  • Check microphones, audio systems, displays, presentation connections and video conferencing equipment before use.
  • Help requesters start their meetings and confirm that presentation content and remote connections are working as expected.
  • Identify faults or additional support requirements and raise them promptly with the event lead.
  • Follow established room setup, testing and event preparation procedures.

Routine Event Delivery and Live Support

  • Deliver assigned routine meetings and events in line with established procedures and guidance from the event lead.
  • Monitor basic audio, video, conferencing and presentation requirements during live events.
  • Troubleshoot common technical issues and keep organisers informed of progress.
  • Escalate promptly when an issue exceeds your experience or could affect event delivery.
  • Provide clear and professional support to presenters, attendees and event organisers.

Operator Support for Larger Events

  • Assist as an operator on more complex events under the direction of the event lead or a senior technician.
  • Support equipment setup, technical rehearsals, microphone operation, presentation playback and other assigned audio or video tasks.
  • Follow agreed instructions, production cues and event runbooks.
  • Check assigned equipment before and during events.
  • Communicate clearly with the wider technical and event production teams.

User Guidance and Event Records

  • Provide straightforward guidance to presenters and conference room users on the equipment required for their meeting or event.
  • Help reset event spaces and return equipment following delivery.
  • Assist with equipment checks, inventory activities and other event-related tasks.
  • Accurately record requests, faults, actions and outcomes in Zendesk or a similar ticketing platform.
  • Escalate outstanding issues to the appropriate team for follow-up.

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Practical experience supporting meetings or routine corporate events, including room setup and the use of basic audio, video and presentation equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot common AV issues during live use and recognise when escalation to an event lead or senior technician is required.
  • Basic understanding of AV signal flow, microphones, displays, presentation connections and video conferencing equipment.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, technical instructions and event cues.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a technical and event delivery team.
  • Confidence providing clear, straightforward equipment guidance to presenters and meeting room users.
  • Clear written and spoken English.
  • A professional, composed and service-focused approach when supporting clients and event attendees.
  • Accurate ticketing, record-keeping and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Amsterdam and assist with equipment and inventory activities.
  • Flexibility to work according to event schedules, including early starts and late finishes when required.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting Google Meet or Zoom meetings.
  • Familiarity with Logitech conferencing equipment.
  • Exposure to Zendesk, QLab, OBS, video switching, Companion or Stream Deck.
  • Relevant AV, conferencing or manufacturer training.
  • Experience supporting rehearsals or assisting with larger live, virtual or hybrid events.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
