Job Summary

Epergne Solution is seeking a Automation tester , to develop and maintain automation scripts, and ensure quality across multiple environments for web applications.

Responsibilities

  • Determine application or system testing requirements and specifications to ensure comprehensive coverage
  • Develop and document functional test cases, results, and test data using Test Automation tools and Jira Zephyr
  • Estimate, plan, prioritize, monitor progress, and coordinate testing activities to meet project timelines
  • Provide daily reports on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) status to stakeholders
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance test automation scripts and execute regression suite automation tests
  • Analyze client business requirements and processes through document analysis, interviews, workshops, and workflow analysis to inform testing and system modifications
  • Provide input for system development and modification to meet client needs by developing business specifications
  • Ensure application quality across multiple environments including System Integration Testing (SIT), UAT, Performance, and Production
  • Participate in creating test scenarios, test cases, and executing tests including Unit, Integration, System, Database, Regression, and defect reviews
  • Troubleshoot test failures across applications, automation frameworks, environments, and test data to maintain test reliability
  • Report defects clearly and promptly to facilitate resolution

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in computing, engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 2-5 years of experience as a test engineer specializing in web applications
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Cucumber, Selenium, Jenkins, and BDD frameworks such as Serenity
  • Experience with Java, GIT/Bitbucket, API testing, and Chrome browser automation preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile software development lifecycle and agile testing processes
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles, test automation methods, and frameworks
  • Ability to independently analyze automation failures and implement script fixes
  • Understanding of functional testing techniques including smoke, database, integration, white and black box, regression, system integration, and user acceptance testing
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Domain knowledge in banking or financial sectors preferred
  • Experience executing software testing within Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
