- Assess current and future workforce needs and translate business priorities into actionable HR strategies and programs.
- Provide day-to-day HR generalist support throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, development, performance, mobility, engagement, and offboarding.
- Partner with leaders to establish clear performance expectations, address performance concerns, and implement effective coaching and improvement plans.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters, including conducting timely, thorough, impartial, and well-documented investigations.
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations across the United States and Canada.
- Partner with Legal and other HR leaders to manage employment risk, interpret legislation, update policies, and ensure consistent application of HR practices.
- Monitor employment law and regulatory developments and recommend appropriate updates to regional policies, procedures, manager guidance, and employee communications.
- Analyze workforce trends, HR metrics, engagement data, and employee feedback to identify risks and opportunities and develop practical recommendations for the US and Canada region.
- Support organizational change associated with business growth, technology adoption, restructuring, acquisitions, and evolving operating models.
- Partner with functional HR Business Partners and HR Centers of Excellence, including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning and Development, HR Operations, HRIS, and Facilities.
- Design and deliver manager enablement, employee engagement, and communication programs that strengthen culture and improve the employee experience.
- Contribute to the development of scalable HRBP tools, playbooks, templates, and operating practices for a growing global software organization.
- Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve HR service delivery, manager self-service, policy navigation, case intake, reporting, documentation, and workforce insights.
- Support the CHRO with Environmental, Social, and Governance reporting and continuous improvement.
- Pilot and scale responsible AI solutions in partnership with HR Operations, HRIS, Information Security, Legal, and Data Privacy teams.
- Ensure AI-enabled HR solutions operate with appropriate human oversight, confidentiality, privacy, security, legal compliance, and bias-mitigation controls.
- Measure the impact of HR process improvements through efficiency, adoption, service quality, employee experience, and risk-reduction metrics.
What You Will Likely Bring
- 5+ years of progressive HR Business Partner or HR generalist experience; experience supporting a technology, SaaS, ERP, or other B2B software organization is strongly preferred.
- Broad knowledge of employee relations, performance management, talent management, organizational development, compensation practices, workforce planning, and employment compliance.
- Practical knowledge of United States and Canadian employment laws and HR practices, with the ability to recognize when legal partnership is required.
- Demonstrated experience conducting objective employee relations investigations and advising leaders through sensitive and complex situations.
- Experience supporting leaders and teams through organizational change, growth, restructuring, and evolving business priorities.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand how product, engineering, implementation, professional services, customer support, sales, and corporate teams contribute to an ERP software business.
- Experience working effectively in a global, matrixed organization and partnering across HR functions and business units.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret HR data, identify trends, and convert insights into recommendations.
- Demonstrated interest in AI, automation, and continuous improvement, with the judgment to apply these tools responsibly.
- Excellent communication, coaching, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
- High emotional intelligence, discretion, sound judgment, and a service-oriented approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or comparable HR certification preferred.
What Will Set You Apart

- Familiarity with software development, implementation, consulting, customer success, technical support, or recurring-revenue business models.
- Experience supporting distributed or multi-site teams across the United States and Canada.
- Demonstrated success using AI or automation to improve HR workflows, reporting, manager self-service, or employee support.
- Experience developing HRBP Center of Excellence resources, scalable processes, manager toolkits, or standard operating procedures.
- Strong customer-service orientation and the ability to balance employee advocacy, business needs, compliance, and operational efficiency.
