About Epirus

Epirus is a high-growth technology company dedicated to overcoming the asymmetric challenges inherent to the future of national security. Epirus' flagship product, Leonidas, is a software-defined system built using intelligent power management techniques which allow power-hungry systems to do more with less.

Job Summary: This is an exciting role in an innovative, high-growth defense technology company. The ideal candidate for the position is someone who has experience with designing, deploying and supporting the systems that connect the shop floor to our business. You'll support our Manufacturing Execution System and the surrounding floor-level technology, including data collection, traceability, work instructions, equipment integration, and production reporting. You'll work directly with operators, process engineers, quality, and IT to make sure production runs on accurate, real-time data. This role reports into the manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead or support MES rollouts, upgrades, and new line or site deployments, from requirements through validation and go-live
  • Configure, maintain, and enhance the MES platform, including work orders, routings, BOMs, recipes, and electronic batch/device history records
  • Translate production, quality, and compliance requirements into system workflows, rules, and screens
  • Integrate MES with ERP (Oracle preferred), PLM, QMS, WMS, and CMMS systems
  • Connect machines, PLCs, test stations, and SCADA/HMI systems to the MES
  • Build dashboards and reports for operations KPIs
  • Support the Industry 4.0/smart factory roadmap, including IIOT pilots.
  • Maintain change control, version control, and system documentation
  • Support audits and ensure systems meet applicable standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, or others relevant to your industry)
  • Partner with operators, supervisors, and engineers to gather requirements and gain adoption
  • Create work instructions and training materials, and train end users and super users
  • Work with IT/OT cybersecurity on access controls, patching, backups, and disaster recovery

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience supporting or implementing MES or similar manufacturing systems in a production environment
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, shop floor workflows, and traceability concepts
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
  • Familiarity with ERP-to-MES integration
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort working in a live production environment
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to work with both operators and technical teams

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with PLC/SCADA systems and industrial protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet)
  • Scripting or programming skills (Python, C#, JavaScript, PowerShell)
  • Experience with data visualization and BI tools
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methods
  • Familiarity with IT/OT network architecture and industrial cybersecurity (IEC 62443)
  • Relevant certifications (CMfgE, CSSBB, PMP, vendor-specific MES certifications)

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
