  • Layout electrical branch circuit distributions to support installations and migrations
  • Troubleshoot and repair Branch Circuit monitoring
  • Work with the team to manage customer order tickets
  • Manage inventory of circuit installation materials to ensure stock allows for timely installation
  • Manage contractor for all installation work. Ensuring all work is performed within Equinix policies and procedures. This includes developing RFP’s, submitting PO’s, scheduling, issuing required Equinix permits, and electrical permits with AHJ

Leadership & Ownership

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
  • Oversee and direct vendor activities during maintenance, installations, and repair work
  • Act as a key contributor during critical maintenance windows, shutdowns, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Review, develop, and execute operational documentation including MOPs, SOPs, and scripts
  • Recommend improvements to electrical reliability, efficiency, safety, and operational standards

Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate site logs, electrical records, and compliance documentation
  • Support electrical permitting, audits, and inspections as required
  • Execute circuit installations, capacity management, and load balancing activities
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, retrofits, and expansions with an electrical focus

Availability & On‑Call Support

  • Support a 24/7 critical operations environment, including rotating shifts, off‑hours work, and emergency response as needed
  • Provide escalation support during high‑risk events or outages

Qualifications

  • Strong hands‑on experience supporting critical electrical systems in data centers, critical facilities, or regulated commercial/industrial environments
  • Experience working within life safety, compliance, and operational risk frameworks
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, one‑line diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Must have sufficient computer skills to work with Microsoft Office Suites, e-mail, and learn custom applications.

  • 3+ years of relevant electrical or critical facilities experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred

  • Prior experience supporting 24/7 mission‑critical operations
  • Background in union or non‑union electrical work within NY/NJ metropolitan environments

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
