We’re on a mission to transform an industry that’s been stuck in the past by empowering contractors and communities through innovative technology, real-time support, and a team that truly cares.

Forge & Build is hiring a Inventory Specialist at our facility in Cedar Springs, MI, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. This position will be responsible to work with stores on cycle count execution, including accurate pricing, sku description, product labeling, and ensuring that the count in the store or yard is the same as what is in the electronic point of sale system.

Salary range: $18.00-25/hr. Factors including past experience and location may affect final compensation rate.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and offers overtime pay after working 40 hours. (Includes working weekends)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Inventory & Data Accuracy Execute and complete all inventory counts, including daily/monthly cycle counts and the annual physical inventory for all stores. Ensure physical inventory in the yard accurately matches the electronic point of sale (POS) system. Organize, reconcile, and maintain accurate SKUs, descriptions, and pricing across all stores.
  • Process Optimization & Setup Implement and complete standardized processes for inventory counts, maintenance, pricing, and descriptions (e.g., cycle count procedures, SKU audits). Audit items, suggesting consolidation or replacement of similar SKUs to streamline assortments and inventory. Collaborate on the coordination and setup of the new POS system and the company's online web store.
  • General Support Run inventory and performance reports as requested. Occasionally work the sales counter or other customer facing positions as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
