At EquipmentShare, we’re not just filling a role — we’re assembling the best team on the planet to build something that’s never been built before. We’re on a mission to transform an industry that’s been stuck in the past by empowering contractors and communities through innovative technology, real-time support, and a team that truly cares.

We’re hiring a IT Deployment Technician at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction.

The IT Deployment Technician I is responsible for installing, configuring, and commissioning full network and security camera systems at EquipmentShare locations, including new builds, relocations, acquisitions, and rip-and-replace projects. This role supports EquipmentShare’s initiative to move network and camera installations in-house, utilizing regional installation teams to execute. Installers will travel to various job sites to complete low-voltage rough-in, network rack installation, wireless access point deployment, camera installation, ISP coordination, and final system commissioning.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute standard IT deployments, site refreshes, equipment replacements, and field support activities using established procedures and documentation.
  • Perform routine installation, configuration, testing, and validation of networking equipment, workstations, POS devices, printers, wireless access points, and related IT hardware.
  • Complete assigned facility scans, site readiness checks, and deployment documentation accurately and on schedule.
  • Follow documented network cutover plans and escalate unexpected issues or risks to senior technicians or leadership.
  • Troubleshoot common hardware, connectivity, cabling, and peripheral issues using established support processes.
  • Coordinate directly with branch personnel and on-site vendors during standard deployments.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment installed, issues identified, work completed, and outstanding action items.
  • Demonstrate the ability to travel independently and complete assigned deployment tasks with limited supervision.
  • Escalate technical, safety, scheduling, or scope-related concerns when they fall outside established procedures.
  • Install complete network infrastructure including racks, switches, bridges, and access points
  • Run low-voltage cabling to complete approved network design
  • Install routers, switches, access points, and configure on-prem equipment
  • Execute full network installation once scheduled
  • Install and configure IP security cameras (interior & exterior)
  • Mount cameras, junction boxes, and conduit as required
  • Support camera certification and documentation requirements
  • Complete rough-in for new construction projects
  • Perform Cat6 termination, labeling, and cable routing per standards
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and safe site practices
  • Coordinate connection to ES network after ISP turn-up
  • Work with implementation team to ensure full network completion

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
