Job Description

The Career Services Manager supervises and assures quality systems for the Career Services team.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manages strategies for job-seeker development to meet business needs.
  • Assures compliance with placement regulations related to career services.
  • Monitors department performance and ensures team is properly trained.
  • Develops, motivates and provides exceptional leadership for career services team.
  • Strategizes, develops and maintains quality Career Services program to achieve goals.
  • Works cooperatively with business services and training to service customer needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in career services, education, social work or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience working in job development with diverse populations, including hard-to-serve populations
  • 3+ years’ experience managing a team
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and high standards of quality.
  • Successful experience work with the public in a positive and professional manner at all times
  • Demonstrated superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of the New York City area job market and economic trends preferred
  • Strong organizational, leadership and communications skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, data management software)
  • Desire to work with a diverse population of customers with varying needs
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
