As a technical leader within the Cultural Heritage practice, you will:

  • Drive GIS strategy and technical excellence across diverse cultural heritage and environmental projects.
  • Help clients solve complex challenges through advanced spatial analysis, data management, visualization, and digital solutions.
  • Support multidisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality, defensible project outcomes.
  • Advance innovation in GIS tools, workflows, and technologies that improve project efficiency and client service.
  • Mentor and develop team members while strengthening technical capabilities across the practice.
  • Build trusted client relationships through responsive support and exceptional project delivery.

What You'll Bring

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Anthropology, Archaeology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in GIS, geospatial analysis, environmental consulting, cultural resources management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting cultural heritage, archaeological, environmental planning, permitting, or natural resource projects.
  • Strong proficiency with ESRI platforms, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, Survey123, Experience Builder, and related applications.
  • Experience managing large geospatial datasets and developing GIS solutions for multidisciplinary projects.
  • Knowledge of cultural resource management practices and environmental review processes.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Willingness to travel periodically to support project needs and client engagements.
  • Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting energy, power, renewables, transportation, technology, manufacturing, or large infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with mobile GIS, database management, automation, and geospatial workflow development.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and tribal cultural resource compliance frameworks.
  • Professional GIS certification (GISP) or other relevant technical credentials.
  • Previous consulting experience working directly with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical lead for GIS and geospatial services supporting cultural heritage and environmental projects across the Western U.S.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage geospatial databases, web mapping applications, mobile data collection platforms, and enterprise GIS solutions.
  • Perform spatial analysis, data visualization, cartographic production, and reporting to support project planning, permitting, environmental review, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support cultural resources investigations, including survey, testing, excavation, and construction monitoring programs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to integrate cultural, environmental, and spatial datasets into client deliverables.
  • Coordinate data management workflows and quality assurance/quality control procedures for GIS products and project documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior GIS specialists and cultural resources staff.
  • Support proposal development, scope preparation, budgeting, and project execution activities.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through responsive service and high-quality technical delivery.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
