ASC Automated Systems & Controls Limited is seeking a Pre-Production Coordinator to support the successful delivery of electrical switchboard manufacturing projects. The role focuses on coordinating engineering information, material readiness, procurement follow-up and production preparation activities to ensure projects are released to manufacturing in accordance with agreed schedules and specifications.The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Design Engineers, Procurement, Production and Testing teams to monitor project progress, identify preparation issues, coordinate material requirements and support project readiness prior to manufacture.Key responsibilities• Coordinate and prepare electrical switchboard manufacturing projects for production release.• Prepare manufacturing handover documentation and project packs.• Review drawings, schematics and BOMs for preparation and material requirements.• Identify missing information and follow up with relevant personnel.• Monitor material availability, lead times and preparation issues.• Coordinate material requirements and procurement follow-up.• Support production readiness and handover.• Monitor project milestones, material availability and supplier lead times.• Report preparation status and material issues.Electrical design calculations, design validation and formal technical approvals remain the responsibility of appropriately qualified and authorised engineering personnel.Essential requirements• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with other members of the team.• Strong planning, organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work effectively to deadlines and manage competing priorities.• High level of accuracy and attention to detail• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, and technical documentation.• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and manufacturing documentation• Good written communication, documentation and reporting skills.A qualification in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline is required.
