It's how you make a difference.Your key responsibilitiesAs a Senior Consultant – FAAS Valuation (Real Estate), you will perform and carry out valuation analyses and reviews of real estate assets and portfolios in the context of financial reporting and assurance engagements.Your responsibilities will include:• Performing valuation analyses and review of real estate assets, assessing the reasonableness of valuations and financial models• Developing independent valuation perspectives and benchmarking analyses based on market data and appropriate methodologies• Leading, coordinating, and developing a team of Assistants, ensuring effective execution of engagements• Building and maintaining productive working relationships with client personnel and assessing client satisfaction• Applying a strong understanding of valuation concepts to real-world real estate scenarios• Coordinating fieldwork and collaborating with audit teams and other departments to ensure smooth delivery of engagements• Contributing to the delivery of valuation processes, solutions, and projects by applying judgement and selecting appropriate methodologies• Taking responsibility for meeting personal and team performance targets and supporting junior team members• Ensuring high-quality deliverables, compliance with risk management requirements, and adherence to EY standards• Identifying risks and opportunities, enhancing client trust, and contributing to business development and team growthSkills and attributes for success• 2-3+ years of relevant experience in real estate valuation and valuation advisory• Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of valuation principles and techniques (income, market approach) with regards to real estate valuation• A university degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field• Familiarity with financial reporting frameworks (IFRS), RICS valuation guideline, IVS, INREV guideline• Perfect command of English, both written and verbally, within a professional services business environmentPC proficiency including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPointIdeally, you will also have:• A university degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related fieldFamiliarity with financial reporting frameworks (IFRS), RICS valuation guideline, IVS, INREV guidelinePerfect command of English, both written and verbally, within a professional services business environment• Experience in valuation support within audit / Valuation in Assurance• Exposure to European real estate markets• Progress toward or completion of a professional qualification (e.g., RICS or equivalent)• Experience working with large portfolios or real estate fund structures• PC proficiency including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint• Command of French or German language is an asset, and additional language would be considered as a plusWhat we offer you• Continuous learning: You'll develop the mindset and skills to navigate whatever comes next.• Success as defined by you: We'll provide the tools and flexibility, so you can make a meaningful impact, your way.• Transformative leadership: We'll give you the insights, coaching and confidence to be the leader the world needs.• Diverse and inclusive culture: You'll be embraced for who you are and empowered to use your voice to help others find theirs.EY | Building a better working worldEY is building a better working world by creating new value for clients, people, society and the planet, while building trust in capital markets.Enabled by data, AI and advanced technology, EY teams help clients shape the future with confidence and develop answers for the most pressing issues of today and tomorrow.EY teams work across a full spectrum of services in assurance, consulting, tax, strategy and transactions.
