The posting

ESADE Business School, Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting, Barcelona

ESADE Business School invites applications for an open-rank appointment on the practice track (Junior or Senior Professor of Practice, equivalent to Assistant/Associate Professor of Management Practice) in the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting. The position centers on teaching in our MBA, Executive MBA, and open-enrollment executive education programs.

Candidate profile. We seek an economist with a strong record of teaching practitioners and senior executives, and/or significant industry, policy, or consulting experience. We value candidates who can translate applied research and professional experience into executive-level teaching, case development, and practice-oriented intellectual contribution, rather than a traditional research publication record.

Rank. Appointment as Junior or Senior Professor of Practice will be determined based on the candidate’s teaching record, depth of professional experience, and demonstrated contribution to case writing, curriculum design, or applied/practitioner-facing output.

Responsibilities: Teach across the MBA and executive education portfolio; develop cases and course materials; engage with corporate partners and executive audiences; participate in school service.

Applications should include a CV, a teaching statement/portfolio (including executive education experience and any case materials), and three references.

Deadlines: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Two review committees will assess applications in January and March 2027, respectively. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to online interviews, potentially followed by a campus visit.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
