O grupo de Sistemas Magnéticos e Eletromagnéticos foi responsável pelo desenvolvimento dos magnetos para o projeto Sirius, e hoje continua atuando tanto no Sirius quanto nas frentes de trabalho estratégicas da DAT no CNPEM.
