About the role:

You will build the pipelines and automation that let API changes and Kong configuration reach production safely and the same way every time. Your work turns manual onboarding steps into self service, with security checks built in.

  • Connect pipelines to IRS change control and ticketing, including ServiceNow records and Change Advisory Board (CAB) approvals.
  • Script daily configuration backups and support quarterly restore tests.
  • Document pipelines and hand over knowledge to the operations team.

What you bring:

  • 3+ years in DevOps, DevSecOps, build and release, or platform automation.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines in a tool such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

  • Working knowledge of containers, Kubernetes or OpenShift, and Linux.
  • Scripting in Bash and Python.
  • Familiarity with code, dependency or container image scanning.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to obtain and keep an IRS Moderate Background Investigation (MBI); you must meet IRS suitability and residency requirements.

Nice to have:

  • Experience automating API gateway configuration, such as Kong decK or webMethods deployments.
  • Work in a federal change controlled environment.
  • ServiceNow integration experience.
  • A DevOps, Kubernetes or cloud certification, or Security+.
  • An active IRS MBI or prior IRS work.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
