Je werkt aan boord van state-of-the-art baggerschepen die projecten over de hele wereld uitvoeren. Als 3e Stuurman speel je een belangrijke rol bij het waarborgen van veilige scheepsoperaties, terwijl je de vaartijd, ervaring en competenties opbouwt die nodig zijn om door te groeien naar toekomstige rangen. DE POSITIE Als 3e Stuurman sta je aan het begin van je carrière op zee. Je ondersteunt de veilige navigatie en de operationele prestaties van het schip tijdens je wacht. Als lid van de bemanning help je ervoor te zorgen dat navigatie-, veiligheids- en operationele activiteiten worden uitgevoerd in lijn met de regelgeving en de hoge veiligheidsnormen van Van Oord. In nauwe samenwerking met je team doe je waardevolle ervaring op met internationaal opererende schepen, terwijl je je vakmanschap en leiderschapsvaardigheden verder ontwikkelt. JOUW IMPACT Als 3e Stuurman draag je bij aan veilige en efficiënte operaties door het team te ondersteunen. Door actieve deelname aan de dagelijkse taken help je wet- en regelgeving en operaties te handhaven. Je verantwoordelijkheden zijn onder meer: - Het assisteren bij navigatiewachttaken en brugadministratie; - Het ondersteunen van reguliere bagger- en dekoperaties conform vastgestelde procedures; - Het onderhouden, inspecteren en testen van veiligheids- en reddingsmiddelen; - Het bijhouden van operationele, veiligheids- en wettelijke registraties; - Deelname aan noodoefeningen en het bevorderen van een veilige werkomgeving aan boord.
