Voor een maritiem bedrijf actief in de Rotterdamse haven zijn wij op zoek naar een gemotiveerde Able Seaman / Matroos. Ben jij graag actief aan dek, werk je zorgvuldig en voel jij je thuis in een dynamische werkomgeving? Dan komen we graag met jou in contact. Na een uitgebreide introductie- en inwerkperiode word je onderdeel van een professioneel team van drie bemanningsleden. Samen met de Tug Master en Chief Engineer draag je verantwoordelijkheid voor het veilig en goed operationeel houden van de sleepboot. **Jouw rol aan boord** Als Able Seaman / Matroos ben je een belangrijke schakel tijdens de dagelijkse werkzaamheden en sleepoperaties. Je bent voornamelijk actief aan dek en draagt bij aan een veilige en efficiënte uitvoering van de werkzaamheden. Je werkzaamheden bestaan onder andere uit: * Het onderhouden, controleren en gereedmaken van sleepgerei en dekuitrusting. * Knopen, splitsen en correct gebruiken van lijnen en ander sleepmateriaal. * Verzorgen van het veilig aan- en afmeren tijdens operationele werkzaamheden. * Bewaken van de veiligheid aan dek tijdens sleep- en assistentieoperaties. * Uitvoeren van onderhouds-, reparatie- en schoonmaakwerkzaamheden aan boord, zowel binnen als buiten. * Assisteren van de Tug Master en Chief Engineer bij dagelijkse werkzaamheden. * Bereiden van gezonde maaltijden voor de bemanning. * Uitvoeren van wacht- en huishoudelijke werkzaamheden. * Actief bijdragen aan een veilige werkomgeving door onveilige situaties en handelingen te signaleren en te melden. * Deelnemen aan periodieke veiligheidsoefeningen en andere veiligheidsactiviteiten aan boord. **Wie zoeken wij?** Wij zoeken iemand die betrouwbaar, praktisch ingesteld en gemotiveerd is om onderdeel te worden van een professioneel maritiem team. Voor deze functie beschik je bij voorkeur over: * Een geldig vaarbevoegdheidsbewijs, zoals Rating Forming Part of a Navigational Watch (RFPNW) of hoger. * STCW Basic Safety. * Een geldig zeemansboekje. * Een geldige zeevaartkeur.
