The posting

Voor een internationale organisatie binnen de medische sector te Gent, zijn we op zoek naar een ervaren Accountant die mee instaat voor het financiële beheer van de Belgische activiteiten. In deze veelzijdige functie krijg je een brede verantwoordelijkheid over de financiële processen.

Jouw takenpakket

  • Je beheert de boekhouding van A tot Z voor de Belgische entiteit en de bijhorende holdingstructuur.
  • Je verzorgt zowel de algemene als analytische boekhouding en bewaakt de kwaliteit van de financiële gegevens.
  • Je fungeert als aanspreekpunt voor financiële en boekhoudkundige vragen vanuit de organisatie.
  • Je staat in voor de maandelijkse en jaarlijkse afsluitingen en zorgt voor een correcte rapportering.
  • Je bereidt jaarrekeningen en diverse wettelijke en fiscale aangiften voor, waaronder btw, Intrastat en statistische rapporteringen.
  • Je volgt openstaande klanten en leveranciers op en verwerkt onder meer betalingen en payrollgerelateerde boekingen.
  • Je werkt samen met externe partners en adviseurs rond fiscaliteit, subsidies en andere financiële vraagstukken.
  • Je ondersteunt het auditproces en fungeert als aanspreekpunt tijdens de jaarlijkse financiële controle.
  • Je draagt bij aan budgettering, forecasting en het analyseren van afwijkingen ten opzichte van de vooropgestelde cijfers.
  • Je voert balanscontroles en reconciliaties uit en volgt eventuele verschillen nauwgezet op.
  • Je denkt actief mee over de optimalisatie van financiële processen, systemen en procedures en werkt hiervoor samen met de corporate finance-organisatie.

Wie zoeken we?

  • Een bachelor- of masterdiploma in accountancy, finance, economie of een vergelijkbare richting.
  • Minstens 10 jaar relevante ervaring binnen accounting.
  • Een grondige kennis van algemene en analytische boekhouding.
  • Ervaring binnen een internationale of corporate omgeving is mooi meegenomen.
  • Een zeer goede kennis van Nederlands en Engels, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.
  • Een sterk analytisch vermogen en een uitgesproken oog voor detail.
  • Een zelfstandige en proactieve werkhouding, gecombineerd met een echte teamgeest.
  • Het vermogen om prioriteiten te stellen en nauwkeurig te blijven werken, ook wanneer deadlines zich opstapelen.
  • Een sterke interesse in digitalisering en financiële systemen. Je bent vlot met ERP-software en Excel.
