Tegelijkertijd speur je actief naar nieuwe klanten en commerciële kansen, dus je zit niet achterover tot potentiële klanten de parkeerplaats komen oprijden. Tijdens klantbezoeken kijk je vooral naar wat dit autobedrijf nodig heeft om betere resultaten te behalen. Je verkoopt daarbij geen doos onderdelen en scheurt vervolgens weer de snelweg op, maar denkt mee en geeft advies over passende producten. Je krijgt veel vrijheid om jouw rayon zelfstandig te runnen. Je plant je eigen afspraken, bepaalt waar kansen liggen en weet wanneer het tijd is om door te pakken. Als accountmanager voel je mensen haarfijn aan: je bent vriendelijk wanneer het kan, stevig wanneer het nodig is en weet een commercieel gesprek de juiste kant op te sturen. Daarnaast is interesse in de automotivebranche fijn, maar je hoeft echt niet zelf een versnellingsbak uit elkaar te kunnen halen. Voor specialistische kennis kun je namelijk terugvallen opjouw team van 15 collega's binnen inside sales en de buitendienst.
