Actief Bestuurslid Stichting De Nijverheid, Utrecht Met gevoel voor cultuur, makers, fondsen & nieuwe mogelijkheden De Nijverheid zoekt een nieuw actief bestuurslid dat samen met ons wil bouwen aan de volgende fase van onze culturele vrijhaven. Over De Nijverheid De Nijverheid is een culturele vrijhaven in het Werkspoorkwartier in Utrecht. Op ons terrein werken ruim 70 autonome kunstenaars en creatieven, zijn er verschillende expositieruimtes, een doorlopende culturele programmering met verschillende podia en een kunstcafé. De Nijverheid werkt vanuit drie pijlers: De Nijveraars, dat zijn de makers die hier dagelijks werken en creëren, de acterende beeldende- en podiumkunstenaars, en het cultureel minnende publiek die ons komen bezoeken. Onze makers gerichte blik, in combinatie met het publieke karakter is daarbij belangrijk. De Nijverheid is rauw, eigenzinnig en experimenteel. Die ruimte voor experiment vinden we belangrijk voor onze makers, maar ook voor de balans in de stad. Wij vervullen binnen het culturele ecosysteem van de stad Utrecht een belangrijke schakel tussen opleiding, experiment en professionele praktijk. Een nieuwe fase De Nijverheid bestaat inmiddels bijna tien jaar. In die tijd zijn we van een vrij onwaarschijnlijk idee uitgegroeid tot een stevige culturele plek met tientallen ateliers, huurders, medewerkers, vrijwilligers, samenwerkingen en een groot publiek. We weten inmiddels heel goed wie we zijn, wat we belangrijk vinden en wat we willen behouden. Tegelijkertijd breekt er een nieuwe fase aan. We hebben onlangs zekerheid gekregen dat De Nijverheid in ieder geval tot 2040 op deze plek kan blijven. Dat geeft ruimte om verder vooruit te kijken en te bouwen. Binnen ons team is veel kennis en ervaring aanwezig op zakelijk, organisatorisch, artistiek en uitvoerend gebied.
