Ons Lokaal bestuur Bredene telt ruim 400 vaste medewerkers en werft regelmatig nieuwe mensen aan. We zijn momenteel o.a. op zoek naar een afdelingshoofd omgeving en milieu – graad A1a-A3a – voltijdse contractuele functie van onbepaalde duur.

Wat doet een afdelingshoofd omgeving en milieu?

Als afdelingshoofd omgeving en milieu ben je verantwoordelijk voor de integrale leiding, coördinatie en verdere ontwikkeling van de afdeling omgeving en milieu.

Je stuurt de diensten Beleid en Vergunningen, Handhaving en Wonen aan en zorgt voor een samenhangende, kwaliteitsvolle, efficiënte en juridisch correcte werking van de afdeling.

Je vertaalt de strategische beleidsdoelstellingen van het lokaal bestuur naar concrete doelstellingen, projecten, processen en werkafspraken. Je bewaakt de uitvoering ervan en rapporteert hierover aan de algemeen directeur en het bestuur.

Je staat in voor de inhoudelijke en organisatorische afstemming tussen beleidsvorming, vergunningverlening, handhaving, milieu en wonen. Je waakt daarbij over de onafhankelijkheid, objectiviteit en rechtszekerheid van de dossierbehandeling.

Je treedt op als inhoudelijk expert en strategisch adviseur van de algemeen directeur, het managementteam, het college van burgemeester en schepenen en, waar van toepassing, de gemeenteraad.

Je creëert een professionele werkomgeving waarin medewerkers verantwoordelijkheid opnemen, samenwerken, kennis delen en zich verder ontwikkelen.

Wie komt in aanmerking?

Je bent minstens in het bezit van een diploma dat toegang geeft tot niveau A ( master of daarmee gelijkgesteld).
