Bouw aan de toekomst van academische plastische, reconstructieve en handzorg. Verbind patiëntenzorg, onderzoek, onderwijs, opleiding en maatschappelijke impact binnen een toonaangevende afdeling van Amsterdam UMC. De afdeling plastische, reconstructieve en handchirurgie van Amsterdam UMC herstelt vorm en functie van lichaamsdelen, veelal bij complexe en hooggespecialiseerde problematiek. Binnen een goed georganiseerde en kwalitatief sterke afdeling met diverse teams bouwt u voort op een stevig fun_ament. U versterkt de bestaande samenwerking en stimuleert verdere afstemming tussen de twee hoofdlocaties (VUmc & AMC) en meerdere buitenlocaties. Zodat onze patiënten op alle locaties kunnen rekenen op dezelfde hoogwaardige, veilige en innovatieve zorg. Binnen de afdeling plastische, reconstructieve en handchirurgie wordt er gewerkt met focus op 4 speerpunten, allen met een sterk academisch karakter: Kinderplastische chirurgie Hand- en polschirurgie Genderchirurgie Reconstructieve chirurgie U geeft verbindend leiding aan een toonaangevende vakgroep binnen Amsterdam UMC. Als onderdeel van het managementteam en in afstemming met de divisieleiding bent u verantwoordelijk voor de strategische koers, zowel financieel als organisatorisch, en de bewaking van kwaliteit. Als afdelingshoofd rapporteert u aan de divisieleiding. Met het oog op een veranderend zorglandschap, is het van essentieel belang om een passende balans tussen zorgvraag, beschikbare capaciteit, productie en productiviteit te behouden. U krijgt de ruimte om samen met het team de verdere ontwikkeling van de afdeling vorm te geven, waarbij de keuze van Amsterdam UMC om alle patientenzorg op locatie AMC te centreren van impact gaat zijn. De afdeling werkt Amsterdam UMC breed, in nauwe multidisciplinaire samenwerking met onder andere traumatologie, orthopedie, GE chirurgie, urologie, hoofd/hals-chirurgie, kindergeneeskunde en andere relevante specialismen. Daarnaast wordt er gewerkt vanuit een breed netwerk met

verschillende alliantie partners. Amsterdam UMC heeft een samenwerking met Fundashon Mariadal Bonaire. Het op afdelingsniveau exploreren van deze samenwerking en eventuele kennisuitwisseling met Bonaire kan onderdeel worden van uw verantwoordelijkheid als afdelingshoofd. De juiste kandidaat beschikt over: ruime klinische ervaring als plastisch chirurg, bij voorkeur in een academisch ziekenhuis en is gepromoveerd; een brede academische visie, je bent op de hoogte van de laatste ontwikkelingen, richtlijnen en kwaliteitsnormen in de gezondheidszorg, in het bijzonder de academische ziekenhuiszorg; een heldere visie over de zichtbaarheid en (maatschappelijke) impact van het specialisme in het regionale, landelijke en internationale veld; managementervaring en kennis op het gebied van bedrijfsvoering; een mensgerichte met betrekking tot duurzame inzetbaarheid, welzijn en loopbaanontwikkeling van medewerkers in een veeleisende, hooggespecialiseerde zorgomgeving; academische statuur (bijvoorbeeld universitair hoofddocent, hoogleraar of hoogleraarwaardig) en ervaring met het opzetten en leiden van onderzoekslijnen en externe financieringsstromen; Een vaste
