De afdeling Samenleving is verantwoordelijk voor de uitvoering van wet- en regelgeving op het gebied van maatschappelijke ondersteuning, jeugdhulp, participatie, onderwijs, sport, cultuur en inburgering. De afdeling ondersteunt inwoners bij het vinden van passende oplossingen voor hulpvragen, stimuleert zelfredzaamheid en participatie en werkt samen met maatschappelijke partners lokaal en in de regio. Daarnaast adviseert de afdeling het college en de raad en werkt zij aan actuele maatschappelijke opgaven en landelijke ontwikkelingen. Denk hierbij aan de uitvoering van de Hervormingsagenda Jeugd, de ontwikkeling van een Stevig Lokaal Team, het Toekomstscenario kind- en gezinsbescherming, het Aanvullend Zorg- en Welzijnsakkoord en regionale samenwerkingen binnen Zaanstreek-Waterland. Als afdelingsmanager breng je focus aan, stel je prioriteiten en creëer je de juiste randvoorwaarden zodat medewerkers hun expertise optimaal kunnen inzetten. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de ontwikkeling, samenwerking en resultaten van de afdeling. Je stimuleert eigenaarschap, ondersteunt medewerkers en coördinatoren in hun groei en zorgt voor duidelijke kaders waarbinnen zij hun werk kunnen uitvoeren. Je bent een zichtbare en toegankelijke leidinggevende die verbinding zoekt, richting geeft en mensen in hun kracht zet.
