Tussen 2019 en 2022 heeft AG zijn IT-systeem volledig gemoderniseerd. Een huzarenstukje! Hierbij hebben we verschillende belangrijke applicaties, die vroeger op een IBM-Mainframe draaiden, gemigreerd naar een moderne Windows-infrastructuur met behulp van de Micro Focus Enterprise Server-technologie.

Dit platform noemen we M.A.G.I.C.S. en vormt vandaag een essentieel onderdeel van ons IT-landschap. Na een aantal jaren van stabilisatie, automatisering en voortdurende verbetering zijn we nu op zoek naar een gepassioneerde IT-specialist die het platform verder wil ontwikkelen en zo wil bijdragen aan onze operationele uitmuntendheid.

Dit is jouw topjob

  • Als Micro Focus Enterprise Server Engineer speel je een sleutelrol bij het onderhoud en de ontwikkeling van ons platform.
  • Bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling van het platform: Je werkt mee aan projecten om de M.A.G.I.C.S.-omgeving te verbeteren en te moderniseren. Je identificeert en stelt optimalisatiemogelijkheden voor op het vlak van performance, betrouwbaarheid, automatisering en vereenvoudiging. Hiervoor gebruik je de nieuwste technologieën zoals AI. Je werkt samen met de teams Infrastucture, Development, Operations en Security om toekomstige uitbreidingen van het platform te ontwerpen en te implementeren.
  • De beschikbaarheid en stabiliteit van de diensten waarborgen: Je zorgt voor ondersteuning op het derde niveau bij complexe incidenten. Je definieert, implementeert en onderhoudt monitoring- en waarschuwingsmechanismen. Je analyseert incidenten, je identificeert de onderliggende oorzaken en je zoekt duurzame oplossingen. Je vermindert het onbeschikbaarheidsrisico via een proactieve operational management-aanpak. Je documenteert de technische procedures en je zorgt voor de overdracht van kennis aan de support- en exploitatieteams.
  • Zorgen voor de ontwikkeling en de duurzaamheid van het platform: Je bepaalt en leidt de strategie voor het beheer van de levenscyclus van het M.A.G.I.C.S.-platform en de bijhorende technische componenten. Je staat in voor de planning, coördinatie en uitvoering van versie-updates en wijzigingen aan Micro Focus Enterprise Server. Je monitort technologische productontwikkelingen, je beoordeelt de impact daarvan op het platform en je doet voorstellen om ze te integreren. Samen met de Windows Infrastructure-teams coördineer je de activiteiten die nodig zijn om de servers te onderhouden waarop het platform draait. Je bent betrokken bij activiteiten rond capaciteitsplanning, risicobeheer, bedrijfscontinuïteit en voortdurende verbetering. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het opstellen en bijhouden van de procedures, normen en technische documentatie met betrekking tot het platform.
