Functieprofiel ambulancechauffeur We zijn doorlopend op zoek naar proactieve ambulancechauffeurs met goede rijtechnische vaardigheden Op en onderweg De ambulancechauffeur zorgt ervoor dat hij samen met de ambulanceverpleegkundige snel op locatie is. Het kan gaan om een spoedeisende situatie maar ook om besteld vervoer. De chauffeur is verantwoordelijk voor de veiligheid van de patiënt en naaste omgeving en draagt zorg voor een comfortabel vervoer. Verder behoren voertuigtechnische werkzaamheden tot de taken van de ambulancechauffeur. Elke dag komen de ambulancechauffeur en -verpleegkundige terecht in de meest uiteenlopende situaties en behandelen ze verschillende soorten patiënten. Assistentie Op locatie zorgt de ambulancechauffeur voor proactieve assistentie aan de ambulanceverpleegkundige. Denk hierbij aan het aangeven en klaarzetten van medicatie of gebruiksklaar maken van materiaal en apparatuur. In overleg verleent de ambulancechauffeur geprotocolleerde zorg en waar nodig zelfstandig eerste hulp. Samenwerking Als ambulancechauffeur vorm je een team met de ambulanceverpleegkundige. Het werk staat dan ook in het teken van samenwerking. Niet alleen met de ambulanceverpleegkundige en meldkamer, maar ook met bijvoorbeeld huisartsen, ziekenhuis, brandweer of politie. Diploma ambulancechauffeur De ambulancechauffeur is in het bezit van een CZO diploma. Deze wordt behaald na het volgen van een initiële opleiding van ongeveer zeven maanden bij de Academie voor Ambulancezorg. Het is van belang dat de ambulancechauffeur in opleiding leergierig en zelfstandig is.
