Je werkt met vaste werktijden en hebt ruimte om medische afwegingen zorgvuldig te onderbouwen. Jouw nieuwe baan Je zet een stap richting sociaal-medische advisering binnen de verzekeringsgeneeskunde. In plaats van een spreekuur waarin consulten elkaar snel opvolgen, voer je als basisarts gesprekken met mensen die door ziekte of beperkingen vastlopen in werk. Samen onderzoek je wat nog mogelijk is binnen hun belastbaarheid. Je beoordeelt de belastbaarheid van cliënten en brengt medische informatie samen uit gesprekken, dossiers en rapportages van behandelaars. Daarbij kijk je niet alleen naar de diagnose, maar ook naar het verloop van klachten en de invloed daarvan op het functioneren in arbeid. Je werkt onder supervisie van een verzekeringsarts. Samen bespreek je dossiers en kom je tot een goed onderbouwde beoordeling. Soms voer je lichamelijk onderzoek uit of stem je af met andere zorgprofessionals. Je bevindingen leg je vast in heldere rapportages die navolgbaar zijn voor collega's en andere betrokken professionals. Het werk vraagt aandacht en precisie. Besluiten hebben invloed op inkomen, re-integratie en verdere stappen richting werk. Daarom krijg je de tijd om dossiers goed te analyseren en je medische afweging zorgvuldig te formuleren. Zoals een van de door BKV bemiddelde artsen vertelt: "Werken binnen regels en wetten, een andere kijk op mijn cliënten, allemaal interessant en nieuw voor mij. En moeilijk. Ik merk dat ik nog altijd teveel kijk als een huisarts. Maar oefening baart kunst. Ik werk in een team met een arbeidsdeskundige, re-integratiebegeleider, medisch secretaresse en teamondersteuner en iedereen draag...
