De uitdaging

Er bestaan AP-rollen waarin je een proces optimaliseert. En er is deze rol, waarin je dat proces ook overeind houdt terwijl het onder je voeten verandert. Dertig landen. Zestig legal entities. Een BPO-partner in India die deels meegroeit en deels moet worden bijgestuurd. Een ERP-migratie die niet netjes buiten kantooruren gebeurt, maar middenin de dagelijkse facturen- en betalingsstroom.

Wie hier slaagt, is niet wie de beste Excel-skills heeft, maar wie kalm blijft wanneer vijf dingen tegelijk dreigen mis te lopen, en feilloos aanvoelt wanneer iets moet escaleren en wanneer het gewoon opgelost moet worden.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

Operationeel

  • Volledige AP-cyclus voor de Europese landen: van ontvangst en review tot verwerking en goedkeuring van facturen, conform groepsbeleid
  • Betalingsruns via meerdere kanalen (EFT, Wire, ACH, DD, SEPA B2B/B2C), vendor reconciliaties en opvolging van intercompany saldi
  • Maandelijkse en jaarlijkse closing: accruals, prepayments, open PO's en AP-aanpassingen
  • Compliance: btw, Intrastat, SOx, interne controles en segregation of duties
  • KPI's en AP-rapportering: aging, vendor spend, payment forecast
  • Ondersteuning bij audits: documentatie, toelichting en opvolging van aanbevelingen

Leiderschap en samenwerking

  • Aansturen, coachen en ontwikkelen van internationale AP-teams en de BPO-partner
  • Bewaken van SLA-kwaliteit en operationele consistentie bij uitbestede processen
  • Technisch aanspreekpunt voor het BPO-team bij complexe ERP-vraagstukken
  • Zichtbaar aanwezig voor je mensen, over tijdszones en landsgrenzen heen

Wat wij van jou verwachten

Deze rol is niets voor wie enkel binnen één land of één juridische entiteit heeft gewerkt. Je hebt minstens tien jaar ervaring in AP en GL, opgebouwd in een organisatie met meerdere landen, meerdere entiteiten en idealiter een BPO-constructie die je van binnenuit kent. Je hebt gezien hoe een closing escaleert wanneer er vijf tijdzones tussen zitten, en je weet hoe je daar orde in schept zonder in paniek te schieten.

  • Bachelor of master in een financiële richting
  • Minstens tien jaar ervaring in AP en GL binnen een grote, internationaal georganiseerde omgeving
  • Bewezen leidinggevende ervaring, zowel direct als via BPO-coördinatie
  • Praktische kennis van een groot ERP-systeem (Oracle Cloud Financials of SAP S/4HANA)
  • Sterke kennis van btw in een internationale context, SOx en interne controles
  • Ervaring met finance transformation of een ERP-implementatie is een sterke troef
  • Vloeiend Engels; Frans of Nederlands is een pluspunt
  • Bereid om te reizen: regelmatig naar het VK, af en toe naar Azië
