Wat doe je?

Werk je graag buiten en steek je graag de handen uit de mouwen? Dan is deze job misschien iets voor jou. Als arbeider Groen en Milieu zorg je er samen met je collega's voor dat Temse er netjes, groen en verzorgd bij ligt. Je werkt mee aan het natuur- en groenbeheer van het lokaal bestuur en draagt zo elke dag bij aan een aangename leefomgeving voor inwoners en bezoekers. Je staat in voor het onderhoud van pleinen, plantsoenen, parken, bermen en andere groenzones. Dat doe je zowel manueel als met machines. Je werkt afwisselend op verschillende locaties en geen enkele dag is dezelfde. Daarnaast help je mee aan projecten rond natuurbeheer, milieu en natuureducatie. Concreet hou je je onder meer bezig met:

  • Snoeien van bomen, struiken en hagen
  • Maaien van grasvelden en bermen
  • Onderhoud van plantsoenen en groenzones
  • Onkruidbeheer
  • Groenonderhoud en netheid van de begraafplaatsen
  • Werken met verschillende machines en werktuigen voor groenonderhoud
  • Ondersteuning bij milieuprojecten en natuurbeheer

Je bent bereid om opleiding te volgen en nieuwe technieken en machines aan te leren. Ook bij uitzonderlijke omstandigheden of dringende interventies ben je bereid je flexibel op te stellen.

Wat verwachten we van jou?

  • Er zijn geen diplomavereisten
  • Je bent in het bezit van een rijbewijs B, Een rijbewijs BE, C of CE is een pluspunt
  • Kennis van groenonderhoud, natuurbeheer en bomen is een belangrijke meerwaarde
  • Kennis van en ervaring met machines en materiaal voor groenonderhoud is een pluspunt
  • Je bent bereid om ook buiten de normale werkuren te werken indien nodig
  • Je bent bereid om regelmatig opleidingen en bijscholingen te volgen
  • Je beschikt over een voldoende kennis van het Nederlands om te communiceren met collega's en veiligheidsinstructies correct te begrijpen en op te volgen
