Esculaap Maastricht UMC+ Arts-onderzoeker / Doseerarts. Maastricht UMC+ · Maastricht Wat ga je doen? Je gaat aan de slag als arts-onderzoeker/doseerarts binnen het Trombose Expertise Centrum. In deze gecombineerde functie werk je aan wetenschappelijk onderzoek én blijf je nauw betrokken bij de patiëntenzorg. Als arts-onderzoeker richt je je op: - het ontwerpen, uitvoeren en implementeren van wetenschappelijk onderzoek; - het verbeteren van de behandeling van patiënten met trombose; - het voorkomen van complicaties en langetermijngevolgen van trombose; - onderzoek naar de diagnose en behandeling van het posttrombotisch syndroom. Daarnaast ben je actief in de patiëntenzorg. Je: - doseert patiënten die vitamine K-antagonisten gebruiken; - ziet patiënten op de trombosepoli; - overlegt waar nodig met collega-doseerartsen, huisartsen en behandelend specialisten; - adviseert medewerkers van de Trombosedienst over de antistollingstherapie van patiënten. Je wordt intern opgeleid tot doseerarts. Daarbij blijf je op de hoogte van de nieuwste ontwikkelingen binnen het vakgebied en draag je bij aan het actueel houden en delen van medische kennis binnen het team. Het uiteindelijke doel? Je rondt het onderzoek af met een promotie en behaalt de doctorstitel. Hoe ziet je werkomgeving eruit? Je werkt binnen het Trombose Expertise Centrum (TEC), een gespecialiseerd centrum waar patiëntenzorg en onderzoek rondom trombose samenkomen. Het TEC biedt gespecialiseerde zorg via poliklinische spreekuren en de Trombosedienst en zet zich in voor een veilige en optimale antistollingsbehandeling. Kenmerkend voor het TEC is de nauwe verbinding tussen fundamenteel en klinisch onderzoek en de dagelijkse patiëntenzorg. Hierdoor kunnen nieuwe wetenschappelijke inzichten snel worden vertaald naar de praktijk en direct bijdragen aan verdere verbetering van de trombosezorg.
