Dan nodigen wij je uit te solliciteren op dit interessante promotietraject binnen de Klinische Elektrofysiologie. De beoogde startdatum is 1 november 2026. Als arts promovendus evalueer je door klinisch onderzoek welke behandelstrategie de beste resultaten oplevert voor patiënten met boezemfibrilleren. Je maakt onderdeel uit van het team dat katheterablaties bij patiënten met boezemfibrilleren verricht. Je werkt mee aan de uitvoering van diverse klinische studies waarin innovatieve technieken worden geëvalueerd. Daarnaast: - Voer je een eigen multicenteronderzoek uit waarbij je onderzoekt of een pacemaker of katheterablatie de beste uitkomst biedt voor ouderen met persisterend boezemfibrilleren. - Doe je ervaring op met de invasieve behandeling van boezemfibrilleren en het schrijven van wetenschappelijke manuscripten. - Krijg je de kans om je onderzoeksresultaten te presenteren op internationale congressen. Werkomgeving De Klinische Elektrofysiologie behandelt patiënten met hartritmestoornissen en richt zich op de preventie van plotse hartdood. Denk hierbij aan de implantatie van pacemakers en ICD's, maar ook aan katheterablatie van ritmestoornissen. Een belangrijk onderdeel van ons werkzaamheden is de behandeling van boezemfibrilleren, de meest voorkomende hartritmestoornis. Je komt te werken in een dynamische omgeving waarin veel innovaties plaatsvinden op het gebied van ablatiekatheters, energiebronnen en 3D-mapping systemen.
