Jouw nieuwe baan Binnen een expertise- en behandelcentrum bied je specialistische medische zorg aan mensen met een verstandelijke beperking. Je kijkt verder dan de medische vraag alleen en stemt de behandeling af op iemands dagelijks leven, mogelijkheden en ondersteuningsbehoefte. Als arts voor verstandelijk gehandicapten voer je de regie over multidisciplinaire zorg- en behandeltrajecten. Je brengt medische informatie samen, bewaakt de samenhang en stemt af met gedragsdeskundigen, paramedici en andere collega's. Bij complexe situaties houd je overzicht en maak je zorgvuldig afgewogen keuzes. Duidelijke communicatie is een belangrijk deel van je werk. Je bespreekt het behandelbeleid met cliënten en hun naasten en legt medische informatie begrijpelijk uit. Zo weten zij wat er speelt en welke vervolgstappen mogelijk zijn. Naast de directe cliëntenzorg denk je mee over de ontwikkeling van het medische beleid. Jouw vakkennis en ideeën krijgen ruimte op zowel locatie- als organisatieniveau. Jouw nieuwe werkplek Het expertise- en behandelcentrum ondersteunt mensen met een verstandelijke beperking bij medische en behandelinhoudelijke vragen. Binnen het multidisciplinaire team werken artsen, gedragsdeskundigen en paramedici samen rond de cliënt. De samenwerking draait om het verbinden van medische kennis, gedrag en dagelijkse ondersteuning. Iedere discipline brengt een eigen perspectief in.
