De praktijk zegt dat er een kabel ligt, dat de grond anders is dan verwacht of dat de erfgrens net even afwijkt. Op dat moment wil je niet wachten tot iemand anders het oplost dan wil je zelf bedenken hoe het wél kan. Werk je daarnaast het liefst het hele jaar buiten, dan is dit je baan. - Je zet de hekwerklijn uit, boort of graaft de paalgaten en stort de betonfunderingen. - Je stelt palen, poortstijlen en portalen, strak en op maat. - Je monteert panelen en gaas, draaipoorten, schuifpoorten inclusief rails en loopwerk, en slagbomen. - Je voert vóór aanvang de LMRA (risicoanalyse) uit, zodat je veilig begint. - Je lost het op als de situatie op het werk afwijkt van de tekening, in overleg met je voorman. - Je werkt netjes af, ruimt de werkplek op en loopt het werk samen met de klant na. Opleverpunten noteer je op de werkbon. - Aan het eind van de dag zet je op de vestiging de materialen klaar voor het werk van morgen. In de regio Rijnmond werk je samen met vijftien specialisten die hekwerken, poorten, slagbomen en toegangsbeveiliging plaatsten voor grote bouw- en infra-aannemers en logistieke bedrijven. Denk aan het afschermen van logistieke terreinen en bedrijventerreinen, maar net zo goed aan sportaccommodaties en werken voor gemeenten. Het is vrijwel volledig nieuwbouw, en elk project is anders: andere ondergrond, andere maatvoering, ander type poort. Geen seriewerk dus, maar telkens opnieuw kijken wat de situatie vraagt. Je vertrekt 's ochtends samen met een collega vanaf de vestiging naar de projectlocatie. De werken liggen verspreid over de regio Rotterdam, Den Haag, Leiden en Gouda, dus je zit nergens ver vandaan en je bent 's avonds gewoon thuis. Je draait mee in een vaste montageploeg met een voorman, en je hebt op locatie zelf contact met de klant bij...
