De vakgroep Economie van de Universiteit Gent heeft één vacant mandaat van onderwijs- en onderzoeksassistent (AAP). Voor deze functie strekt een goede kennis van het Nederlands tot aanbeveling. De kandidaat is bij voorkeur onmiddellijk beschikbaar. Je takenpakket omvat onder meer:

  • Je besteedt minimum 50% van je opdracht aan wetenschappelijk onderzoek in het kader van de voorbereiding van een doctoraatsproefschrift binnen één van de onderzoeksdomeinen van de vakgroep: ‘Banking & Finance', ‘Environmental Economics', ‘International Economics, ‘Labour Economics and Welfare' of ‘Macroeconomics, Policy and Econometrics'.
  • Je ondersteunt het onderwijs van de vakgroep in algemene economische vakken.
  • Je begeleidt studenten bij hun bachelor- of masterproef in de verschillende opleidingen waarin de vakgroep onderwijs verzorgt.
  • Je werkt mee aan de interne en externe dienstverlening van de vakgroep.
  • Je bent houder van een diploma van Master of Science in de Economische Wetenschappen (Economics), de Toegepaste Economische Wetenschappen (Business Economics), Handelsingenieur (Business Engineering), Handelswetenschappen (Business Administration), Algemene Economie (Complementary Studies in Economics), of een gelijkwaardig diploma. Je behoort aantoonbaar tot de top 20% van uw afstudeercohorte.
  • Een aanvullend (MaNaMa) advanced / research master diploma in economics strekt tot aanbeveling.
  • Kandidaten die geen masterdiploma hebben, uitgereikt in een land van de Europese Economische Ruimte, Zwitserland of het Verenigd Koninkrijk, moeten ook behaalde GRE test scores of GMAT scores (percentiel ranking) voorleggen.
  • Voor diploma's behaald buiten de Europese Unie dient een gelijkwaardigheidsattest van NARIC voorgelegd te worden. Aan de diplomavoorwaarden moet voldaan zijn op datum van aanstelling.
  • Je hebt sterke interesse in wetenschappelijke onderzoek met het oog op het behalen van een doctoraat.
  • Onderwijservaring en deelname aan nascholing, conferenties etc. strekt tot aanbeveling.
  • Je beschikt over didactische en communicatieve kwaliteiten.
