Als Automation Engineer versterk je een langdurig automatisatieproject binnen een complexe farmaceutische productieomgeving in Puurs. Vanuit jouw doorgedreven kennis van Siemens S7, TIA Portal, STL en SCL werk je aan het onderhoud, de optimalisatie en de troubleshooting van geïntegreerde productiesystemen.

De functie situeert zich sterk op de productievloer, waar verschillende machines en installaties met elkaar verbonden zijn. Je analyseert complexe software, lokaliseert storingen en realiseert gerichte verbeteringen zonder dat je vertrekt van een blanco ontwerp. Daarbij vorm je een belangrijke technische schakel tussen operatoren, techniekers en project engineers.

Wat ga je doen?

Troubleshooting en softwareoptimalisatie

Binnen deze rol werk je aan verschillende geïntegreerde systemen binnen de productieomgeving, waaronder een debagger, e-beam, vullijn, transportsystemen, automatische laad- en lossystemen, autoclaaf, inspectielijn en verpakkingsrobots. Je analyseert storingen en afwijkingen en brengt complexe automatisatieproblemen terug tot hun technische oorzaak.

Je onderhoudt en verbetert bestaande software en staat in voor het uitbreiden en optimaliseren van complexe besturingen. De focus ligt daarbij op analyse, foutopsporing en gerichte aanpassingen in bestaande installaties. Het gaat niet om hardwaredesign, specificaties of het programmeren van nieuwe systemen vanaf nul, maar om het doorgronden en verder ontwikkelen van bestaande automatisatie.

Technische samenwerking op de productievloer

Je werkt samen met operatoren, techniekers en project engineers om problemen efficiënt aan te pakken en verbeteringen praktisch te implementeren. Daarbij kan je complexe technische principes en oorzaken helder uitleggen aan collega's met verschillende technische achtergronden.

Naast je inhoudelijke verantwoordelijkheid voor automatisatie werk je zelfstandig binnen een productieomgeving waarin prioriteiten kunnen verschuiven. Tijdens geplande sluitingen kan het sporadisch nodig zijn om mee te draaien in shiften of tijdens weekends.

Je beschikt over een bachelor- of masterdiploma in automatisatie of bent gelijkwaardig door ervaring. Je hebt een doorgedreven technische ervaring binnen industriële automatisatie en beschikt over vergevorderde kennis van Siemens S7, TIA Portal, STL en SCL.

Kennis van motion drives, bijvoorbeeld B&R, Jetter of Simotion, vormt een meerwaarde. Ook ervaring met robotsystemen van ABB of Stäubli en kennis van camerasystemen zijn een pluspunt.

Je bent analytisch en verdiept je graag in complexe productieprocessen. Je werkt zelfstandig en stressbestendig, kan prioriteiten stellen en functioneert vlot binnen een multidisciplinair team. Je communiceert helder met zowel technische als niet-technische collega's en bent bereid om sporadisch tijdens geplande sluitingen in shiften of weekends te werken.
