Een sterk automationteam maakt vaak het verschil tussen projecten die op schema blijven en projecten die vertraging oplopen. In deze rol neem je de leiding over een multidisciplinair team en zorg je voor de juiste balans tussen operationele ondersteuning, technische kwaliteit en de verdere ontwikkeling van mensen.

De organisatie is actief binnen een internationale industriële projectomgeving waar automatisering, elektrotechniek en complexe installaties samenkomen. Vanuit België worden projecten opgevolgd voor klanten en vestigingen in verschillende landen, waardoor technologie, samenwerking en kennisdeling centraal staan.

Deze functie combineert strategisch leiderschap met inhoudelijke betrokkenheid. Je bouwt verder aan een performant automationteam, versterkt processen en bewaakt tegelijk innovatie, veiligheid en technische expertise binnen de organisatie.

Automation Manager - Functieomschrijving:

  • Je neemt de leiding over een team van Automation Engineers, organiseert capaciteit en prioriteiten, stimuleert groei en samenwerking, en zorgt ervoor dat projecten kwalitatief en tijdig worden ondersteund.
  • Je bewaakt de technische excellentie van de afdeling door nieuwe technologieën en automatiseringsoplossingen te evalueren, kennisdeling te stimuleren en waar nodig zelf operationeel bij te dragen aan engineeringactiviteiten.
  • Je versterkt de HSEQ-cultuur door risicoanalyses op te volgen, audits en toolboxsessies te organiseren en veiligheid, kwaliteit en welzijn structureel te verankeren binnen de dagelijkse werking.

Automation Manager - Profiel:

  • Je combineert een sterke automation expertise met meerdere jaren ervaring binnen industriële automatisering, elektrotechniek of een vergelijkbare technische omgeving en beschikt over een grondig inzicht in PLC-, software- en elektrische systemen.
  • Je beschikt over bewezen people management vaardigheden, weet teams te coachen en motiveren, behoudt overzicht in complexe situaties en neemt doordachte beslissingen wanneer prioriteiten verschuiven.
  • Je bent in staat om strategisch en operationeel te schakelen, behoudt het overzicht over een internationale projectomgeving en weet technische uitdagingen te vertalen naar duidelijke prioriteiten voor je team.
