Zin in een uitdagende job waarin je écht het verschil kunt maken voor jongeren in transitieleeftijd, op een cruciaal moment in hun leven?

Werken bij Elegast betekent samen het verschil maken, in een klimaat van betrokkenheid en respect. Elegast is al meer dan 40 jaar een vaste waarde in de Antwerpse jeugdzorg en hulpverlening. Met ruim 200 collega’s, 15 afdelingen en 10 locaties zijn we groot en veelzijdig, maar toch toegankelijk en persoonlijk.

Voor Flow 16-25 zijn we op zoek naar een begeleider voor een halftijdse tewerkstelling.

Flow 16-25 is een intersectorale samenwerking tussen IBW Bolder, Free Clinic, Ondo, De Touter, CAW Antwerpen en Elegast.

Flow 16-25 richt zich op dak- en thuisloze jongeren van 16 tot 25 jaar die geen aansluiting hebben met hulpverlening.

We werken outreachend en zoeken jongeren actief op op plaatsen waar zij komen en verblijven. Van daaruit kunnen jongeren doorstromen naar een traject binnen Flow en, wanneer dit passend is, naar huisvesting op de eigen site in de Klappeistraat.

Als begeleider zet je in eerste instantie in op het opbouwen van een relatie, het creëren van veiligheid en het samen verkennen van de actuele situatie en noden van de jongere.

Daarnaast kan Flow jaarlijks twaalf intensieve trajecten aanbieden. Binnen deze trajecten werken we samen met de jongere rond een aantal belangrijke pijlers:

  • duurzame huisvesting
  • werk en dagbesteding
  • psychisch welzijn en zingeving
  • netwerk
  • oriëntatie naar passende hulpverlening

Wanneer het om een eerste woonervaring gaat of wanneer blijkt dat woonvaardigheden nog beperkt zijn, beschikt de werking jaarlijks over vijf studio’s. Vanuit onze aanwezigheid zetten we er vooral in op het aanleren en versterken van vaardigheden die nodig zijn om zelfstandig te wonen.

Je...

  • hebt een Graduaat- of Bachelordiploma met sociale, pedagogische of psychologische oriëntatie of gelijkgesteld door ervaring
  • hebt een groot hart voor deze jongeren;
  • bent aanklampend, warm en betrokken;
  • neemt actief initiatief om contact met jongeren te zoeken en te onderhouden;
  • kent je eigen grenzen en kan die bewaken binnen een professioneel aanbod voor jongeren met vaak complexe en uiteenlopende noden;
  • hebt oog voor kleine stappen, krachten en talenten;
  • gelooft in het belang van netwerk, en weet anderen rond de jongere te betrekken en te enthousiasmeren;
  • hebt interesse in – en bij voorkeur al enige kennis van – de sociale kaart voor jongeren;
  • staat open voor verschillende expertises en vindt het boeiend om samen te werken binnen een intersectoraal team;
  • durft samen met jongeren opnieuw te dromen over een toekomst en helpt hen om die eerste stappen te zetten.
