Een pedagogisch begeleider met een warm hart voor volwassenen met een ernstig verstandelijke beperking voor een hechte leefgroep in Malle. Iemand die mee zorgt voor een omgeving waar onze bewoners zich veilig en gezien voelen.

Wat ga je doen?

Je werkt op onze Campus in Malle, in één van de drie warme leefgroepen: Kauri 1, 2 of 3. In totaal wonen hier 24 volwassenen met een ernstig verstandelijke beperking, elk met verschillende ondersteuningsnoden. Als begeleider weeg je voortdurend af hoeveel autonomie en zelfbepaling elke cliënt aankan en welke mate van begrenzing we moeten voorzien. Regelmatig werk je leefgroep-overschrijdend, waardoor je zowel andere collega’s als cliënten beter leert kennen: een fijne kans om breder samen te werken en te groeien.

Als begeleider in leefgroep Kauri:

Creëer je een veilige, gestructureerde omgeving waar cliënten houvast en rust vinden.

Bied je Psychosociale en groepsgerichte begeleiding, afgestemd op de noden van elke bewoner.

Ondersteun je zintuiglijke beleving, bijvoorbeeld via warme snoezelmomenten of andere basale activiteiten op maat die hen prikkelen of tot rust brengen.

Organiseer je de leefgroep mee: ondersteunen bij maaltijden, helpen bij verzorging en zorgen voor structuur in de dagelijkse routine.

Ga je respectvol om met gedrag en conflictsituaties, steeds met aandacht voor het emotioneel (on)welbevinden.

Blijf je altijd de persoon achter het gedrag zien, met empathie, begrip en geduld.

Werk je samen met ouders en familie, omdat zij onmisbare partners zijn in de begeleiding.

Bouw je mee aan een positief zorgklimaat, waarin warmte, kwaliteit en respect centraal staan.

Je maakt deel uit van een hecht team van pedagogische begeleiders waar een open, informele sfeer heerst en waar iedereen elkaar ondersteunt. Je behaalde een diploma Orthopedagogie, een ander mensgericht sociaal-agogisch diploma of je hebt relevante werkervaring

Je hebt een hart voor volwassenen met een verstandelijke beperking

Je haalt je motivatie uit het continu aanpassen van je handelen aan de specifieke zorgvraag en noden van de cliënten

Je bent mensgericht, (ver)zorgend en hebt een grote dosis empathie

Je kan gepast tussenkomen in conflicten en bij agressie

Je bent proactief en flexibel en doet aan zelfreflectie

Je werkt graag in een team, je collega’s kunnen op jou rekenen en je draagt actief bij tot een positieve, creatieve en sociaal-educatieve werksfeer

Je kan ook in het weekend, op feestdagen, ’s ochtends en ’s avonds werken. De nachtdiensten neemt ons team nachtbegeleiders voor hun rekening
