Hoe maak jij mee het verschil?

Als bestuurder rangeringen speel je een cruciale rol in het dagelijks treinverkeer. Jij zorgt er mee voor dat de reizigers één van de 3800 treinen kunnen nemen naar hun bestemming.

Wat is jouw rol bij NMBS?

Omdat je zo belangrijk bent voor het goed functioneren van het treinverkeer, krijg je ook heel wat verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Als bestuurder rangeringen maak je treinen klaar voor vertrek en breng je de trein naar het vertrekstation.
  • Je controleert of alles goed werkt. Een remtest hoort hier zeker bij want de veiligheid van onze reizigers is zeer belangrijk.
  • Je maakt locomotieven en treinstellen klaar, haalt treinen uit elkaar en brengt de voertuigen naar de werkplaats voor onderhoud.
  • In het station overhandig je een rijklare trein aan de treinbestuurder.
  • Je werkt samen met heel wat collega's. Rechtstreeks in de treinbundel met collega-bestuurders en je staat continu in contact met collega's van het seinhuis.

  • Je laat het werk graag vooruitgaan. Je neemt geen afwachtende houding aan.
  • Je houdt van een flexibel uurrooster en bent bereid ook in het weekend en op feestdagen te werken.
