Logo Maes & Lunau - - Partnerships - MVO initiatieven - Home Bestuurslid met de portefeuille bedrijfsvoering - ZonMw Bestuurslid met de portefeuille bedrijfsvoering - ZonMw Zorgonderzoek Nederland / Medische Wetenschap, hierna ZonMw, is hét zelfstandig bestuursorgaan (zbo) dat op het terrein van gezondheid, zorg en welzijn onderzoek programmeert en financiert, gebruik van de ontwikkelde kennis stimuleert én signaleert waar meer kennis nodig is. ZonMw ondersteunt de gehele kennisketen: van fundamenteel onderzoek tot praktijkgericht- en actieonderzoek tot implementatieprojecten. ZonMw werkt met kennis aan een goede gezondheid voor iedereen en draagt daarmee bij aan vernieuwing in zorg, gezondheid en welzijn. De belangrijkste opdrachtgevers voor ZonMw zijn het ministerie van Volksgezondheid, Welzijn en Sport (VWS) en de Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (NWO). Op dit moment bestaat het bestuur van ZonMw nog uit negen personen op afstand met een beperkte tijdsinzet, samengesteld uit deskundigen op het werkterrein van ZonMw. De dagelijkse leiding van de organisatie berust bij de algemeen directeur die daarover verantwoording aflegt aan het bestuur. De komende maanden wordt een wijziging doorgevoerd waarbij het bestuur wordt omgevormd naar een driehoofdige raad van bestuur (2,5 Fte) met Arfan Ikram als de voorzitter.
