Iedere dag is anders, iedere klant is anders, iedere opdrachtgever is anders. Kortom; heel tof werk! Ik zou het bijna zelf gaan doen! Waar ga je werken? We hebben verschillende opdrachtgevers door heel Nederland die op zoek zijn naar talentvolle (aanstaand) bevrachters. Van hele kleine kantore, tot kantoren met enkele tientallen collega's. In allerlei type ladingsoorten en van Limburg tot Noord-Holland. Wat ga je doen? Als bevrachter is het jouw taak om lading bij verladers in te kopen en bij binnenvaartschepen te verkopen. Dat klinkt eenvoudiger dan het is. Met talloze factoren die dit proces beïnvloeden, is het dagelijks een interessante uitdaging om het beste resultaat te behalen. Om te beginnen moet je goed kunnen onderhandelen met zowel opdrachtgevers als klanten. Hoe strakker dat lukt, hoe succesvoller je kan zijn. Daarnaast moet je rekening houden met capaciteit en vaargebieden van de schepen, vaartijden van laadplaats naar losbestemming, waterstanden, eventuele stremmingen/stakingen op de waterwegen en persoonlijke omstandigheden schippers, alles regelmatig in het Duits. Dit alles moet je continu aan elkaar koppelen en verwerken in je voorstellen. Dat vergt snel schakelen en het overzicht kunnen bewaren. Dat betekent dat je dagelijks veel aan het bellen bent met verschillende partijen. Daarbij is het van groot belang dat je met al die verschillende karakters een relatie opbouwt. Daarvoor moet je een soort sociale kameleon zijn of worden. Bovendien is het essentieel dat je een goed gevoel voor commerciële kansen hebt en daar proactief op handelt. Dat is veel vallen en opstaan en regelmatig een 'nee' te horen krijgen. Daar werk je doorheen totdat je een 'ja' krijgt. En dan ben je al die afwijzi...
