USG Professionals is op zoek naar een Business Analist voor onze klant in regio Mechelen. Dit kan zowel als USG Project consultant als op Freelance basis!

Ben jij een ervaren AS400 / IBM i specialist met diepgaande kennis van RPG IV ILE? Krijg jij energie van het oplossen van complexe incidenten, het verbeteren van applicaties en het ondersteunen van bedrijfskritische systemen?

Jouw rol

Als Application Support Specialist ben je een belangrijke schakel tussen de business en de technische omgeving. Je zorgt ervoor dat applicaties optimaal blijven functioneren, incidenten snel worden opgelost en verbeteringen efficiënt worden gerealiseerd.

Je verantwoordelijkheden omvatten onder andere:

  • Fungeren als technisch aanspreekpunt voor business stakeholders bij applicatiegerelateerde problemen
  • Analyseren en oplossen van incidenten die door gebruikers of collega's worden gemeld
  • Ondersteunen van compliance-gerelateerde activiteiten volgens de geldende procedures
  • Beheren en actueel houden van applicatiegegevens
  • Oppakken en realiseren van kleinere change requests en functionele verbeteringen
  • Verzamelen en analyseren van requirements voor applicatiewijzigingen
  • Uitvoeren van development- en onderhoudsactiviteiten binnen de applicatieomgeving
  • Bijhouden van change- en projectdocumentatie
  • Ondersteunen van de dagelijkse werking van AS400 / IBM i-applicaties
  • Uitvoeren van job control, job management en job servicing
  • Onderzoeken en oplossen van technische en applicatiegerelateerde problemen

Wat breng jij mee?

Je bent een ervaren AS400 / IBM i professional die technische diepgang combineert met een analytische en oplossingsgerichte aanpak.

Ervaring

  • Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring in Application Support en/of Application Management
  • Ruime ervaring binnen een AS400 / IBM i-omgeving
  • Minimaal 10 jaar ervaring met RPG IV ILE

Technische kennis

Je hebt aantoonbare kennis en ervaring met:

  • RPG IV ILE – minimaal 10 jaar
  • SQL/400
  • DB2/400
  • Integrated File System (IFS)
  • 5250-emulatie en klassieke green-screen omgevingen
  • Display files en printer files
  • Job control en job management
  • Job servicing en troubleshooting

Jouw sterke punten

Naast je technische expertise beschik je over:

  • Sterke analytische en probleemoplossende vaardigheden
  • Een grondige kennis van de werking van geautomatiseerde systemen en bijbehorende peripherals
  • Diepgaande kennis van AS400 / IBM i-systemen
  • Een zelfstandige en gestructureerde manier van werken
  • Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden richting zowel business als IT
  • Het vermogen om business requirements te vertalen naar praktische technische oplossingen
  • Een nauwkeurige en professionele aanpak bij incidenten, changes en documentatie
