BlueTrail Business Controller sr. Noord-Brabant 32u p/w 12 maanden Universitair Functieomschrijving De opdracht valt onder de Divisie Finance & Control, afdeling Business Control. In deze afdeling werken Business Controllers, Assistent Business Controllers en financieel medewerkers aan de financiële sturing van Tilburg University. Iedere Business Controller is gekoppeld aan een specifieke faculteit of divisie binnen de universiteit. De Senior Business Controller IT wordt gekoppeld aan de divisie Library & IT Services (LIS). LIS is binnen Tilburg University verantwoordelijk voor de digitale leer- en werkomgeving, de IT-infrastructuur en de voorzieningen op het gebied van communicatie- en informatietechnologie ter ondersteuning van onderwijs en onderzoek. De afgelopen drie jaar heeft LIS stevig geïnvesteerd in de modernisering van het IT-landschap en haar dienstverlening. Tegelijkertijd wordt er gewerkt aan de verdere digitalisering en aan voorstellen voor de toekomstige technische en organisatorische inrichting van LIS. Deze ontwikkelingen vragen om professionalisering van de financiële sturing. De opdracht richt zich in de eerste plaats op het versterken van de financiële grip op de huidige dienstverlening en veranderprogramma's. Dit vraagt om inzicht in de belangrijkste kostendrijvers, een heldere kostenstructuur en een duidelijke koppeling tussen budgetten, activiteiten en deliverables. Vanuit dit inzicht worden financiële risico's en kansen vertaald naar concrete acties en keuzes die ter besluitvorming worden voorgelegd en waarvan de implementatie financieel wordt gemonitord. Daarnaast vraagt de verdere ontwikkeling van het IT-landschap om goede financiële onderbouwing. Keuzes over bijvoorbeeld sourcing, eigendom versus as-a-service, investeringen in digitalisering en de verhouding tussen reguliere dienstverlening, verandering en innovatie hebben langjarige financiële consequenties.
