Arion is een Belgisch merk van hoogwaardige honden- en kattenvoeding, ontwikkeld met aandacht voor voedingswaarde en een sterke prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. De producten worden in België vervaardigd en vinden hun weg naar professionele klanten zoals dierenspeciaalzaken, tuincentra met een dierenafdeling en fokkers.

Achter Arion staat Moulin Gochel, een familiale onderneming met een lange geschiedenis in de aankoop, verkoop en distributie van producten voor de landbouw- en dierenwereld. De organisatie combineert de stabiliteit van een gevestigde onderneming met korte beslissingslijnen, een persoonlijke aanpak en ruimte voor initiatief.

Om Arion op de kaart te zetten in Vlaanderen zijn zij op zoek naar een ervaren en ondernemende Business Developer.

Functie

Als Business Developer krijg je het vertrouwen en de vrijheid om de commerciële ontwikkeling van Arion in Vlaanderen vorm te geven. Je bouwt vanaf de basis een klantenportefeuille en duurzaam commercieel netwerk uit. Jouw belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden zijn:

  • De Vlaamse markt analyseren en bepalen waar de grootste commerciële opportuniteiten liggen.
  • Actief prospecteren bij dierenspeciaalzaken, onafhankelijke tuincentra, professionele honden- en kattenfokkers en andere relevante spelers.
  • Eerste contacten uitbouwen tot duurzame commerciële partnerships.
  • Commerciële voorwaarden, volumes en samenwerkingsafspraken onderhandelen.
  • Klanten ondersteunen bij productintroducties, promoties en commerciële acties.
  • De kwaliteiten van het assortiment helder en overtuigend toelichten.
  • Jouw regio zelfstandig organiseren en klantenbezoeken combineren met prospectie, opvolging en rapportering.
  • Marktontwikkelingen en concurrenten nauwgezet opvolgen en relevante inzichten terugkoppelen aan de organisatie.
  • Regelmatig deelnemen aan winkelacties, promotionele momenten en sectorgerichte evenementen, ook wanneer die occasioneel in het weekend plaatsvinden.
  • Rapporteren aan de verantwoordelijke van Arion en nauw samenwerken met de Franstalige collega’s en de backoffice.

Voor deze functie zoeken we geen klassieke vertegenwoordiger, maar een ervaren commerciële pionier die energie haalt uit het ontwikkelen van een nieuwe markt.

  • Je hebt minstens enkele jaren succesvolle ervaring in een commerciële buitendienstfunctie.
  • Je hebt aantoonbare ervaring met actieve en koude prospectie.
  • Ervaring binnen petfood, dierenvoeding, diergezondheid, FMCG of gespecialiseerde retail is een sterke troef.
  • Affiniteit met honden, katten en de professionele dierenwereld is essentieel.
  • Je spreekt en schrijft uitstekend Nederlands en kan je goed uitdrukken in het Frans.
  • Verder beschik je minstens over een bachelordenkniveau.
  • Je bent commercieel scherp, onderhandelingsvaardig en gericht op meetbare resultaten.
  • Je beschikt over de maturiteit en volharding om een regio volledig zelf te structureren en uit te bouwen.
  • Je combineert een sterke huntermentaliteit met de relationele aanpak die nodig is om klanten op lange termijn te behouden.
  • Je bent flexibel in je planning en bereid om occasioneel promotionele activiteiten buiten de klassieke kantooruren te ondersteunen.
  • Een bestaand netwerk bij fokkers, dierenspeciaalzaken of tuincentra in Vlaanderen is mooi meegenomen.
