At Energy Essentials, you are building the software layer that manages energy portfolios: forecasting demand, calculating risk, and executing decisions in a volatile market where timing and accuracy matter. On a typical day, you: - Design and implement backend services in C# / ASP.NET Core that handle high‑volume, real‑time data flows - Work within autonomous squads, participating in design sessions, breaking down complex problems and translating them into working systems - Build and maintain event-driven microservices using Kafka and asynchronous communication - Apply Domain Driven Design (DDD) and event sourcing not as theory, but as tools to solve real business problems - Work on systems that process large datasets and require high throughput and consistency guarantees - Continuously balance trade-offs between correctness, performance, and maintainability You will be expected to think beyond implementation: - Why this data structure? - Why this consistency model? - What happens under load, failure, or concurrency spikes?
