Als calamiteiten medewerker in Den Haag stap je binnen op plekken waar flink wat moet gebeuren. Samen met je collega's stroop je de mouwen op en ga je aan de slag. Je zuigt water weg, verwijdert beschadigde materialen, reinigt ruimtes en stelt spullen veilig. Soms is een klus binnen een paar uur geklaard. Bij een grote schade ben je met een heel team meerdere dagen bezig. En juist dat maakt dit werk anders dan veel andere praktische banen. Je staat niet wekenlang op dezelfde bouwplaats hetzelfde werk te doen. Je komt in woningen, winkels, kantoren en andere bedrijfspanden in Zuid-Holland en soms daarbuiten. Iedere schade vraagt weer om een andere aanpak. Jouw werkdag Om 07.00 uur begin je vanuit onze vestiging in Den Haag. Even met je collega's doornemen wat er speelt, spullen pakken en op pad naar de eerste klus. Vandaag is dat bijvoorbeeld een woning waar brand is geweest. De brandweer is weg, maar binnen is nog genoeg te doen. Beschadigde spullen moeten eruit, roet zit op de muren en verschillende ruimtes moeten grondig worden gereinigd. Handschoenen aan en beginnen. Morgen kan je dag er totaal anders uitzien. Misschien kom je bij een bedrijfspand waar door een flinke lekkage grote delen onder water hebben gestaan. Of je helpt een woning leeghalen zodat de herstelwerkzaamheden kunnen starten. Je werkzaamheden bestaan onder andere uit: - Brand-, water- en stormschade aanpakken - Water afzuigen en verdere schade helpen beperken - Rook, roet en andere vervuiling verwijderen - Beschadigde materiale...
