Wat ga je doen? - Naast algemene zorgtaken neem je zoveel mogelijk deel aan specifieke, topreferente activiteiten. - Je werkt op een afdeling met opleidingsbevoegdheid voor het specialisme cardiothoracale chirurgie. - Je levert een bijdrage aan de opleiding van arts-assistenten en aan het onderwijs- en onderzoeksprogramma van de vakgroep. - Je krijgt expliciet de mogelijkheid om je expertise uit te breiden in nieuwe facetten van het cardiothoracaal chirurgisch vak. - Je voert complexe hart- en longoperaties uit, zoals bypasschirurgie, klepchirurgie en/of longresecties. - Je neemt deel aan multidisciplinaire overleggen (MDO's) met cardiologen, longartsen, anesthesiologen en andere specialisten om behandelplannen af te stemmen. - Je begeleidt patiënten postoperatief, inclusief complicatiemanagement en follow-up op de IC en verpleegafdeling. - Je participeert in wetenschappelijk onderzoek en innovatie binnen de cardiothoracale chirurgie. - Je draait diensten (avond-, nacht- en weekenddiensten) voor acute zorg binnen het vakgebied. Hoe ziet je werkomgeving eruit? De afdeling Cardiothoracale Chirurgie verricht per jaar meer dan 1.300 operaties door een behandelend team bestaande uit 9 stafleden, 8 arts-assistenten en 4 Verpleegkundig Specialisten (in opleiding). Zij verlenen de best mogelijke zorg aan de hen toevertrouwde patiënten en leveren een bijdrage aan de toekomst van het vakgebied door integratie van patiëntenzorg, onderzoek en onderwijs. Dit komt onder andere tot uiting in ons Robot-, TAVI-, TAAA- Aorta- en Hybride OK-programma. Het thoracaal chirurgisch onderdeel van ons vakgebied is ingebed in het longoncologisch centrum. De afdeling Cardiothoracale Chirurgie maakt onderdeel uit van het Hart+Vaat Centrum (HVC). Het HVC bestaat uit drie specialismen, cardiologie, cardiothoracale chirurgie en vaatchirurgie die intensief samenwerken.
