Le CAF est un certificat fédéral, obligatoire pour toute personne souhaitant un jour postuler à une fonction de sapeur-pompier / sapeuse-pompière dans un service d'incendie belge, dont le SIAMU. Il se compose de trois volets, organisés dans les écoles du feu belges.

MODULE : Test de compétences/ Test d'habileté manuelle / Épreuves d'aptitude physique

Test de compétences :

Contenu : Épreuve écrite, exigences variables selon le grade visé (sapeur-pompier, sergent, capitaine)

Seuil de réussite : Minimum 50 %

Validité : Illimitée

Test d'habileté manuelle

Contenu : Deux épreuves pratiques (plomberie, menuiserie, électricité)

Seuil de réussite : Réussite requise

Validité : Illimitée

Épreuves d'aptitude physique Contenu : 11 épreuves, dont 2 éliminatoires

Seuil de réussite : 9 épreuves sur 11

Validité : 2 ans

Points pratiques utiles avant de s'inscrire :

  • Aucun délai d'attente n'est imposé entre deux tentatives en cas d'échec à une épreuve ;
  • Un délai de 6 mois s'applique uniquement en cas de non-présentation à une session ;
  • Une réinscription est possible dès 6 mois avant l'expiration du certificat physique (valable 2 ans).

Les sessions sont organisées dans les onze écoles du feu du pays. Pour trouver une session près de chez vous, filtrer par province, école, type d'épreuve, niveau et langue, et consulter les places disponibles :

Description du profil / Profil éligible à l'offre

Afin de pouvoir vous inscrire et passer votre CAF, vous devez :

  • être Belge ou citoyen d'un autre État faisant partie de l'Espace Économique Européen ou de la Suisse ;
  • être âgé.e de 18 ans minimum ;
  • jouir des droits civils et politiques ;
  • satisfaire aux lois sur la milice ;
  • disposer d'une attestation médicale d'aptitude aux épreuves physiques, dont les modalités et la durée de validité sont précisées sur pompier.be, dans la fiche de l'épreuve à laquelle vous vous inscrivez.

Et après le CAF ?

L'obtention du CAF ne garantit pas un emploi et ne vaut pas candidature au SIAMU. Elle constitue une condition d'accès, parmi d'autres, à une future procédure de recrutement. Le SIAMU publiera séparément, lors de l'ouverture de sa prochaine campagne (2027), une offre d'emploi propre décrivant la fonction de sapeur-pompier / sapeuse-pompière ainsi que l'ensemble des conditions applicables au moment de l'appel à candidatures.
